Freedom Fest Event Line-up

The annual Pine City celebration is returning to the Pine County Fairgrounds this year on Saturday, June 26th with a new spin on the local festival. As organizations are beginning to recover and rebuild following a year of no events, many activities were not able to come together this year…. but thanks to some new partnerships and new ideas, we think you’ll still enjoy all that the Freedom Fest event has to offer!

WCMP Radio has officially announced the return of the Medallion Hunt! One lucky winner will win $500 cash if they can solve the clues and find the Medallion. Listen live at 8:30 AM beginning on Monday, June 21st.

The FREEDOM FEST TRIATHLON kicks off at 8:00 AM on Saturday, June 26th. You can still register for this event HERE. Shirt availability is no longer guaranteed.

The PINE CLASSIC CRUISERS CAR CLUB will host the Classic Car Show from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Free registration for all vehicles and free viewing for all attendees. Cars can take part in the Muffler Rap event and a variety of awards are distributed.

Local artists, home-based businesses & farmer’s market vendors have joined us this year for VENDOR BOOTHS available during the same hours as the Car Show from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. You’ll find Scentsy, Usborne Books & More, Norwex, Pink Zebra and Pure Romance products for sale in addition to great informational booths and activities with Pine County Public Health, Pine City/Rush City Girl Scouts, Lakes & Pines Head Start and MORE!

We are excited for a variety of Kids Entertainment shows this year including the LIVE! WITH ETTA & LARRY show hosted by the team at Pine City Early Childhood Family Education at 11 AM. Followed by the THE FLYERS musical duo at Noon. Both shows will be set-up on the outdoor bandshell stage at the Pine County Fairgrounds.

Inside the Event Center we will have two options for music events to enjoy! DOCTOR KIELBASA, a polka band, will play from 1 – 4 PM and is sponsored by the Pine City Arts Council. The evening show begins at 7:00 PM with BUFFALO HEAD BAND playing through until 11 PM. The finale for the evening is the much anticipated return of the Community Fireworks display at 10:15 PM. The fireworks would not be possible without the support of many wonderful businesses and organization. We are so grateful for their contributions.
