The Bookstore in Pine City is proud to present a special author event with former lieuteanant governaor Marlene Johnson on Saturday, May 17th at 1:30 PM.
Marlene grew up in the Pine City area and is looking forward to returning to her community to discuss her memoir “Rise to the Challenge”.
As Minnesota’s first woman lieutant governor, Johnson experienced many challenges while working in government; howeer, the new difficulties she also faced as her strong, supportive husband suffered a traumatic brain injury taught her lessons she never expected.
Johnson will discuss her work creating the memoir, then answer questions and sign copies of her book. Copies will be available for purchase.
