The Pine Area Lions motto “We Serve” has taken on some new and exciting directions over the last year, and a recent addition to their activity line-up is no exception. With a growing membership base, the organization is also looking for new ways to serve the growing Pine City community and is listening to ways to help start new programs that the community is asking for.
Lions President, Becci Palmblade, shared her perspective on the newest activity for the Pine Area Lions by saying, “I was reading on our local community page that many moms would love the opportunity to take their sons out for a special ‘date night’ much like the Father Daughter Dance hosted by Community Ed in the spring…. so I thought why not? Lets do it!”
A new event committee was formed and the group has been busy planning for the “Mother & Son Dance” on Saturday, March 9th. The evening of fun will be held at Chucker’s Bowl & Lounge in Rush City, MN and include a DJ and dancing, a game of bowling and a taco bar for dinner. Palmblade continues, “We are hoping this event will be well rounded so moms and sons can dress up, but cut loose on the dance floor, throw in a little bowling and a taco buffet. It’ll be a fun night!”
Advance registration for this event will be required. Registration is $25 for Mothers and $20 for Sons. Guests can use this SignMeUp link to get registered.
