Nature, Art & Sapsucker Cider

Sapsucker Farms list of special events is growing every day…. from food trucks to yoga classes to soap-making demonstrations… there are many great opportunities to learn something new or just enjoy some time with family and friends at Sapsucker Farms.

On Sunday, June 23rd at 1:00 PM, Sapsucker Farms will host a free event “Medicinal Value of Trees” with local herbalist Lauri Rockne for this fun conversation about trees. The trees in our landscape are medicinal as well as providing us with shade, soil renewal, water control, wildlife habitat, and lumber.  We will explore the medicinal constituents and uses of white pine, birch, cedar, ash, alder, cottonwood, hawthorn, hazelnut, linden, ironwood, sugar maple, oak, and walnut.  Please take note of your local trees and join us for a relaxed conversation about these giants in our world.

On Sunday, June 23rd there are two class times offered for creating your own patio tabletop Fire Pot. Choose the 3:00 PM or 4:30 PM class for just $45. Pots will vary in color and style. Class fee includes all supplies, plus one beverage. Chance to win a door prize too! Limited class size.

On Saturday, June 29th you can take an Intermediate Soap Making Class. In this intermediate soap making class, you will learn the basics of soap making: safety, tools, and how to make it. You will also be learning how/when to add colorants and scent to your soap plus how to create a cute design on top. Then you will put that knowledge into action by making your first batch! Class fee is $72. Register online here.
