At the March Chamber meeting, Hailey Stillings, office manager for GUMI Camp USA, spoke during the open forum to share information about this new non-profit organization in Pine City.
GUMI stands for “Glad You Made It” and is an organization that helps support the needs of veterans in our community. Local efforts include providing transportation for veterans unable to drive themselves to VA appointments, shopping, etc. as well as placing companion dogs with veterans in need of support.
The original GUMI Camp USA is based in Cedarcreek, Missouri and has a wide variety of services to support the veteran community. They are excited to be expanding services to Minnesota and invite those interested in learning more about the programs offered to stop in and visit at their Pine City office location at 247 5th Street SE. Open weekdays from 10am – 2pm.
