Celebrate Minnesota’s Deer Hunting Tradition
To honor and promote Minnesota’s deer hunting tradition, the 16th Annual Minnesota Governor’s Deer Hunting Opener “Welcome to Deer Camp Celebration” will be held on Thursday, November 1st at the Grand Casino in Hinckley, Minnesota.
The event promotes ethical hunting practices and shares the economic and environmental benefits of hunting. Together, we can enjoy the traditions of Minnesota’s hunting heritage, increase awareness of deer hunting’s economic and conservation contributions to our state and showcase the Hinckley area as a great hunting and travel destination.
The public is invited to attend the Welcome Event from 4:30 – 8:30 PM on November 1st.
The event schedule includes:
- Enjoy gourmet hors d’oeuvre stations
- Booths, demonstrations and activities by various vendors (including an ATV simulator, TIP Wall of Shame, air rifle range, live butchering demonstration, antler measuring by M.O.M. and much more! )
- Wear your blaze orange for a huge group photo
- Informational seminars
- Live music
- Raffles & auctions
A special program at 6:30 PM includes speakers from the Governor’s Office, MN Department of Natural Resources, Explore Minnesota, and the MN Deer Hunter’s Association.
Your ticket also gets you entered into door prize drawings for a Lifetime Deer Hunting License or Lifetime Membership to MDHA. Event tickets are $50 and available locally at Northview Bank locations.
