Leave the Light on 2024

On November first, Pine Center for the Arts brings you an experience that will uplift, inspire, and connect you — our third annual ‘Leave the Light On’ gallery for artists in recovery.

Our first two installations introduced you to the creativity of many community artists, and gave you a rare glimpse into what this creativity brings to their personal work of unburdening and healing. Questions were asked, understanding was found, and a recovery community that often gathers solely in closed groups had the opportunity to tell a personal story publicly. You, our neighbors and friends, met these stories with interest and engagement. And next month, we invite you to renew that sense of connection.

‘Leave the Light On’ will be on display at the Pine Center for the Arts from November 1 to November 24, with a gallery reception on our opening night from 4-7 PM. Join us to further your own understanding, and to affirm for these artists that creativity can be a bridge back to community integration and support. The gallery will continue throughout the month of November. Regular gallery hours are 10 am-5 pm, Thursday-Saturday and Sunday 11 am-5 pm. The gallery is free and open to the public.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through an operating grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council, thanks to legislative appropriations from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund. This event is sponsored by Jack Frechette.
