The Pine City Heritage Players are back with another great selection of music for the one-night-only edition of “Songs of the Stage”. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, February 11th at 7:00 PM.
“Several years ago someone suggested a Valentine’s Day concert event, but the timing just didn’t work out. Fast forward to 2023 and we thought this was the year to share our favorite love songs from the stage,” said co-coordinator, Rachel Bigelow.
Bigelow, along with Shayla Mihelich and Dawn Carpenter, are coordinating this year’s Songs of the Stage event. “My favorite part of these events is that they are a collaboration with some of the many talented people that are in our community,” says Carpenter. “When you love to perform, this event is a great way to do it in a low stress environment and minimal time commitment. Plus we have lots of fun!”
Many of our regular performers will be back this year – including Cassandra Olson, Rachel Bigelow, Dawn Carpenter, Emily Schueller, Allie Gosen, Michaela Engh, Rebecca Peirsdorf, Amanda Martin and Shayla Mihelich. Joining us for the first time in “Songs of the Stage” are Sarah Odendahl, Gavin Schueller, Ashley Peters, Megan Moulton, Jennifer Simonson, Valerie Ruth and Nic Sabatke. The evening will be hosted by Elisa Mill as the emcee.
“And don’t let the ‘love songs’ theme keep you from joining us!” says Mihelich. “There are some great songs on the set list that are a bit more anti-love and funny. There really is something for everyone in the show.”
Tickets are available for $10 each when purchased in advance through the website at www.pinecityheritageplayers.com or in-person at the Pine City Chamber Office. Limited seating may also be available at the door for $15 each at the door.
