Anytime Fitness is offering FREE outdoor fitness sessions throughout the Month of May – beginning next week!
Pine City, MN – In simpler times, many years ago, parents used to urge their children to “turn off that television set and go outside and play.” Well, Anytime Fitness of Pine City believes everyone could use a little more active fun in our lives and that’s why the gym is hosting playful exercise events at Voyageur Park from 5:00 PM every Tuesday during the month of May.
“Somewhere along the line, people started believing that exercise had to be hard work,” said Anytime Fitness manager, Jenny Bengtson. “That’s simply not true. Many forms of exercise, especially outdoors on a beautiful spring day, will leave you busting-a-gut laughing – and we aim to prove it.”
The five consecutive “May Free Workouts” (May 1st, 8th, 15th,22nd, and 29th) will be lead by personal trainers or gym staff members and they are designed for people of every fitness level. The workouts will feature fun events like relay races, obstacle courses, and musical games. Everyone, not just Anytime Fitness members, is invited to participate.
“We’ve recently developed new fitness programs and a mobile app to help our members stay active whether they’re at the gym, in their homes or anywhere else,” said Robert Haase. “The May Free Workouts are another example of our firm belief that there are countless ways to lead a healthy lifestyle. You just need to find activities that are right for you – and we’d love to help you do it.”
The May Free Workouts concept, inspired by the grassroots efforts of a few Anytime Fitness clubs that regularly offer free outdoor “boot camps,” has grown into a nationwide campaign to promote physical fitness. The Anytime Fitness gym in Pine City is one of approximately 1,000 Anytime Fitness clubs across the United States that will host the free outdoor exercise sessions this year.
