The Greater Pine Area Endowment is currently seeking grant applications from locally based non-profits or government entities within the Pine City School District boundaries for community and economic development focused projects.
The Greater Pine Area Endowment is a Partner Fund of the Initiative Foundation. It is led by an advisory board of local volunteers who have made a commitment to strengthen our communities. Created in 1992, our vision is to promote a sense of community pride and success, to improve the quality of life in our community, and to be a proactive partner in leading economic development, including quality job creation and high tech employment.
Each year, the Pine Endowment invites organizations to apply for funding through theur grant process. Over the last 30+ years over 150 grants have been awarded in our community totaling over $616,546.
Our goal is to improve and strengthen our community by supporting projects that fit one or more of the following areas:
- Economic Development projects that that lead to quality job creation or high tech employment.
- Community Development projects that promote community pride and quality of life through environmental stewardship and community beautification.
- Community Development projects that positively impact the housing, safety, employment and other needs of the more vulnerable members of the community including youth, the elderly and those who are low-income.
To be eligible for funding, an organization must:
- Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, unit of government or public school district.
- Serve the people who live and/or work within the physical boundaries of ISD 578.
- Have a project that fits within our funding priorities. See grant guidelines for more information.
