Bats. Are they heroes, or are they villains? Learn all about these mysterious and often misunderstood creatures from 6-7 p.m. Monday, May 6 at the East Central Regional Library in Downtown Pine City.
In this family-friendly class, presenter Lorrie Cashman will dispel myths and highlight the important role bats play in every environment in which they live. She also will share tips of everyday things you can do to help our flying friends. Cashman shared her knowledge of bats for many years through the Como Zoo.
A History of Quilts
Join quilt collector Bev Proulx for her presentation, Quilts Through Time: 1800-1918, starting at 6 p.m. Monday, May 13 at the library.
In addition to sharing a history of quilts, Proulx will bring a multitude of quilts from her collection that will illustrate the changes in pattern, fabric, and color over the years. See these museum-quality quilts and learn about the people and stories they represent.
All ages are welcome to both programs, and no registration is necessary. They are sponsored by the Friends of the Pine City Public Library and East Central Regional Library.
The library is located at 300 5th St. SE in downtown Pine City and can be reached at 320-629-6403. Keep informed of all East Central Regional Library events by visiting the events calendar atecrlib.org or following us on Facebook.
