The community is welcome to a free holiday program featuring traditional Irish and Scottish music by Laura MacKenzie at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10 at the Pine City Public Library.
East Central Regional Library presents MacKenzie’s Celtic holiday performance, a celebration of Yuletide favorites, many with Celtic origins, presented on a unique array of wind-powered instruments like wooden flutes, whistles, concertina, various types of bagpipes, gemshorn and voice.
Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Pine City Public Library.
MacKenzie also will perform at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at the McGregor Public Library; 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3 at the Cambridge Public Library; and 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4 at the Mora Public Library.
This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
