Freedom Fest 2023 is shaping up to be a great day in Pine City with a variety of events for community members to enjoy. One such event is the Amazing Race – an activity that has been hosted over the years dating back to 2016, but with no consistency to call it an “annual” event.
Like many of the events hosted as part of the Freedom Fest line-up, the Amazing Race is one that requires volunteer interest in helping with pre-planning for the event – writing clues, selecting locations and getting super creative with the various tasks that have to be done by the participating teams. But the work doesn’t stop there – in order to have a successful event – we need volunteers to be at each location as the site organizer to make sure that the teams are completing their tasks AND following the instructions to get there.
Despite the number of volunteer hours that go into making this event a success, the response from teams each year makes it one of the most highly requested events of the year — and worth all the effort that goes in to the planning process. So, after a few years off, a new team of organizers came to the table this year to work on creating the Amazing Race 2023.
Team registration is now open for this event and will be limited to 20 teams.
Registration fee is just $30 per team and the registration deadline is Wednesday, June 21st. A 5 team minimum is required to host this event. Chamber Bucks prizes are awarded to the 1st & 2nd place teams as well as the best team costume. If more than 10 teams participate – a 3rd place team prize will also be awarded.
