Two Pine City Lakes…. Two Pine City Boat Parades!

Are you ready to enjoy some time on the lake this weekend? With the Holiday weekend ahead of us (and northbound Hwy 35 traffic already showing signs of heavy use) we wanted to share some local options for you and your family to celebrate this weekend!

Kick of your holiday weekend TONIGHT with the Pints for Pine Fundraiser night at Three Twenty Brewing Co. On the first Thursday of each month, Three Twenty Brewing donates $1 for each pint sold to a local non-profit or organization. Additional donations are also accepted. Tonight’s beneficiary is the Pine City Hilltop Recreation Area Improvement Project. This project will benefit athletes young and old, and provide additional space for many organizations to use and enjoy year-round!

The Pine City Arts Council weekly Art in the Park event features Lisa Wenger on Friday, July 2nd. Wenger has performed as a beloved staple of the Minneapolis/St. Paul music scene, delighting audiences with her sweet-yet gritty vocals and captivating mix of North Dakota roots paired with and affinity for the soulful sound of the Deep South. Come out and enjoy the blues with Lisa Wenger beginning at 6:30 PM in Robinson Park.

Wings North will be hosting a Boat Parade on Pokegama Lake on Saturday, July 3rd. The event is FREE and open to everyone to join… or watch from your lakeshore property. Participants will gather and line-up between 11am and Noon. Pre-register by calling 320-629-4868. The Boat Parade will begin at NOON and travel counter clockwise around the lake beginning on the north end.

On Sunday, July 4th the Cross Lake & Snake River Association will be hosting their Annual 4th of July Boat Parade. Registration is from 12 – 1pm at the north end of Norway Point Bay. The Boat Parade will begin at 1:00 PM.
