Solid Rock in the Park will be held this Sunday, June 30th beginning at 1:00 PM. As one of the final events of our Freedom Fest weekend, we wanted to invite Mike & Patrice Palmer – event coordinators – to share the highlights of what will be happening on Sunday afternoon.
Some of you know that Patrice and I have been promoting and coordinating this event for the last 13 years, and that we really enjoy doing it. Again this year, we are doing our best to get the word out, because there are still too many in the area, who have not heard about us. You can help us, by asking someone to come out with you to the event.
We are excited to tell you about who we have on the roster this year – from Saint Paul, we have Steve Duede coming back to share his awesome rocking guitar blues. New this year, we have Sara Renner from the MPLS area with some gospel and soul music. From Rochester we have our headliner band back again, called “Light45”, who will also be doing a house concert the night before the event. We have our long time friend Tru-Serva from Minneapolis coming to do some hip hop worship for us. Yours truly will be there with “Mike and The Vibes”. Also new to our event, we have a certified balloon artist coming- Scott from Amazing Balloons will be making wearable balloons as fast as he can.
My son Josh Palmer with his business partner- Ben Domask (The Juggler) will be with us again, but this year as our emcees, you won’t want to miss their crowd pleaser comedy.
We’re hoping that you’ll come out and join us. Bring your family, bring your friends, bring your chair and come spend the day with us. We will be serving food for a donation to the event.
There’s a bouncy house for the young ones, there’s food, crafts, prizes, and games, we’ve have our “Nine square in the air” game.
