Memorial Blood Centers is teaming up with the Minnesota Twins to give blood donors a chance to win baseball tickets. All presenting donors from June 1–30 are automatically entered to win one of 16 pairs of tickets to a Minnesota Twins game. Visit MBC.ORG/TWINS for more information.
Donors who give between June 28 and July 9 will also receive a free T-shirt!
Volunteers are especially needed to step up and give blood during the summer months, when schools are out of session, families take vacation, and donors are enjoying the weather. Memorial Blood Centers needs donors to give regularly to maintain a steady supply of blood products for local hospitals. And, nearly 100% of the blood used by patients in Northland hospitals is donated by Northland blood donors with Memorial Blood Centers.
You may be eligible to donate blood if you are:
In good health
17 years or older—16 with written parental consent (PDF)
Free of antibiotics for 24 hours, unless taken for preventative reasons
Symptom-free for at least 72 hours following a cold or flu
While walk-in donors are always welcome, we encourage appointments to be made in advance.
