Are you ready for summer? After what seems like an endless spring, we are thinking warm thoughts and getting registration under way for the 2022 Freedom Fest Triathlon! This family-friendly event is is a great way to kick off your Saturday during Pine City’s summer festival.
The triathlon begins with a 300 yard lake swim at the Pine City Beach where the Pine City Parks & Recreation staff of lifeguards will be on site to ensure the safety of all participants. We even invite you to use a lifejacket or kickboard during this portion of the race. Leg 2 includes a 12 mile bike ride along the county roads in the area. All participants must wear a bike helmet in order to participate. The final leg of the triathlon is a 2 mile walk/run through Downtown Pine City.
All portions of the race will start and end in the West Side Park & Beach property. Interested participants can register as an individual or as a team – with each team member taking on a different portion of the race. Registration fee is $20 per person and includes a t-shirt when registered by June 3rd. Shirt sizes and availability of a shirt cannot be guaranteed for registrations after that date.
