Chamber Event

Highlights from October Chamber Meeting

On Tuesday, October 1st the monthly Chamber Meeting was held at Noon in the Pine Government Center in Downtown Pine City. Here are just a few highlights from this month’s meeting.

  • Eric Wicktor with Pine City Public Schools presented information on a new Job Shadow Program that he and colleague, Sara Roubinek, are in the process of developing. “The goal for our students is to come away with a better understanding for their field of interest and the skills needed to be successful in that field.” The team is currently seeking interested business hosts for the program. If you’d like more information, contact Eric or Sara at their school emails.
  • The Citizen of the Year committee announced the 2019 selection: Lyndon Hagestuen. A reception in his honor is planned for this Sunday, October 6th from 3:00 – 4:30 PM.
  • The Annual Banquet planning team has selected the date for this year’s event: Tuesday, October 29th. Our theme this year is “Time Machine”. As the Chamber celebrates 50 years serving the community this month, we want to highlight each of our members – where they began and milestones for their business. To accomplish this, members are asked to complete a short survey by October 18th.

Monthly Chamber meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at Noon. Contact Becky if you’d like to be added to the calendar appointment reminders for these meetings.
